WoW 20th Anniversary Guide

World of Warcraft’s 20th Anniversary event brings a treasure trove of nostalgic content, exclusive rewards, and community festivities to celebrate two decades of adventure. Players can dive into special quests, dynamic mini-games, challenging raids, and time-honored dungeons while earning **Bronze Celebration Tokens**—the key currency for unlocking mounts, pets, transmogs, and more. This guide breaks down every activity, strategy for efficient farming, and tips to maximize your haul during this limited-time spectacle.

Event Overview and Getting Started

The celebration kicks off in Tanaris at the Caverns of Time, transforming the zone into a bustling festival ground packed with vendors, quest givers, and rotating events. Head to the main event stand to pick up introductory quests that grant initial tokens and buffs. A standout feature is the 20% reputation and experience boost, stackable with a daily quest for an extra 10%, making it ideal for alt leveling and rep grinding.

To begin:

• Travel to Tanaris and locate the Anniversary Event Stand.
• Complete one-time quests like guest relations and detective chains for 8+ tokens early on.
• Grab the daily quest to participate in festival activities, rewarding 3 tokens and the rep/XP buff.

Expect rotating events every 15-20 minutes, world bosses, and special scenarios. The event ties into The War Within Season 1, with weekly quests offering carved crests, Valorstones, and tokens.

Earning Bronze Celebration Tokens Efficiently

**Bronze Celebration Tokens** are the lifeblood of the event, redeemable at special vendors for coveted items. Farm them through a mix of dailies, weeklies, dungeons, raids, and achievements. Aim for 100+ tokens quickly to unlock repeat rewards from activities like Timewalking queues.

Pro tip: Queue for Chromie’s Codex via Dungeon Finder for quick tokens and gear boxes with ilvl 597 Champion items. Combine with Dornogal weekly changes for bonus efficiency.

Mastering Festival Mini-Games

The heart of the festival lies in its lively mini-games, where participation nets tokens, buffs, and achievement progress. Events cycle rapidly, so stay alert for announcements.

• Mount Competition: An NPC displays mounts; mimic them by mounting yours to score points. Highest score wins prizes. Simple and fun for all levels.
• Transmog Competition: Match outfits to a theme. Prep classic sets for an edge.
• Story Time: Gather for narrated tales with interactive elements, rewarding XP and rep.
• Balloonist Achievement: Pop balloons around the grounds for points toward mounts/pets.

Complete the “Welcome” quest by joining all event types for bonus tokens. These activities also contribute to the meta-achievement A Cool Twenty Years, granting the fiery **Coldflame Tempest Mount**—a Warcraft 3-inspired bird.

Conquering World Bosses and Achievements

Challenge powerful world bosses like Doomwalker, Aeonus, Shannox, and Auriaya for tokens and loot. Start with Doomwalker (easiest), then progress. Use Group Finder’s miscellaneous category to join groups quickly.

Key achievements:

• Blasted Peanut Gallery: Defeat all event world bosses.
• 37 Unique Event Achievements: Check World Events > Anniversary Celebration tab. Includes hidden questlines from NPCs.

Stock up on consumables; some bosses like the final one demand massive groups.

Blackrock Depths: The Event Raid Highlight

Revamped Blackrock Depths becomes a centerpiece raid in LFR, Normal, and Heroic, dropping Nerub-ar Palace-geared loot. Clear to the final boss for 5 tokens, plus a weekly quest for crests, Valorstones, 500 Timewarped Badges, and 3 more tokens.

Strategies:

• LFR: Quick clear for casuals.
• Normal/Heroic: Better rewards for geared groups.
• Quest: “A Disturbance Detected: Blackrock Depths” and weekly recovery.

Pairs perfectly with Dark Iron quests for extra progress.

Timewalking Dungeons and Classic Content

Six classic dungeons return in Timewalking mode with new vendor rewards post-event. Earn badges and tokens per boss. Korrak’s Revenge (Alterac Valley of Olde) offers PvP quests for tokens.

Weekly quests in Dornogal boost yields. Prioritize for alts waiting on queues.
