Here are ten water activities that are sure to help your kid enjoy his summer vacations:

1. Jump Over The Water:

Make sure your kids and the whole family participates in this fun game.

You Will Need:

  • A water hose
  • An open area, like a garden or backyard

How To:

  1. One person has to act as the jump master. The master will sit on the floor with the hose and spray the water.
  2. In the beginning, the water hose should be at the ground level.
  3. The others have to jump over the water line and cross to the other side.
  4. With each round, the master has to increase the height of the water line.
  5. The person who gets hit first with the water has to swap places with the master.
  6. The game starts again from the lowest level.

2. Toy Bath:

Make use of this fun water based activity to give your kid’s toys a thorough wash.

You Will Need:

  • All your kids’ toys
  • A bucket or tub of water
  • A washcloth
  • Some mild washing detergent
  • A mug to pour water with and a smaller container
  • Large towel or an old bedspread

How To:

  1. Ask your kids to line up all the toys outdoors or on the bathroom floor.
  2. Mix water and some washing detergent in a smaller container.
  3. Ask your kids to dip the washcloth in the detergent and give the toys a thorough scrub. Now, ask your kids to give their toys a water bath.
  4. Now place all the toys on the towel or bedspread to dry. One of the fun water activities for kids from which they can learn.

3. Bath In The Outdoors:

Before this activity, make sure there is enough privacy for your kids.

You Will Need:

  • A portable bathtub
  • Swimming costumes for your kids or shorts and vests
  • Water
  • Bubble bath and bath toys – optional
  • Kids soap and shampoo
  • Towels for each kid

How To:

  1. Place the bathtub in the garden. Fill up the bathtub with water and add bubble bath or bath toys in case you are using those.
  2. Let your kids get in the bathtub.
  3. Now clean them using the soap and shampoo.
  4. Let them play in the water for a while. Once done, help them dry up with the towel, wrap them in the towel and send them indoors.

4. Water Blast Off:

Play along as a family or involve your kids and their friends.

You Will Need:

  • A water hose
  • Toys
  • Ropes

How To:

  1. Make a big circle or square on your lawn using ropes. Place the toys inside the shape.
  2. Ask your kid to sit outside at some distance and aim at the toys using the water hose.

Set a timer for your kid to throw out the toys outside the shape with the force of the water.

The kid who throws out the maximum number of toys in the limited time is the winner.

5. Balloon Babies:

Make sure you do this activity only if your kid is four and above.

You Will Need:

  • Balloons
  • Water
  • Marker

How To:

  1. Fill up the balloons with water and make faces on them using the marker to make balloon babies.
  2. Hand them to your kids and ask them to do different chores while holding their baby.
  3. The kid whose balloon stays until the end of the task is the winner.
