Unrestricted Access DMZ Guide

The Unrestricted Access mission stands as a challenging Tier 3 task within the Shadow Company faction in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0’s DMZ mode, introduced in Season 5. Players must navigate the treacherous Koschei Complex, clear four distinct restricted zones, and extract critical intel from fallen soldiers. Success grants the STB 556 as contraband along with 10,000 XP, making it a worthwhile endeavor for progression.

Understanding Mission Requirements

This mission demands precision and preparation. The primary objectives involve accessing high-security areas marked by green doors that require **L2 Restricted Zone keycards**. These zones teem with heavily armed AI enemies, including Riot Shield bearers and reinforcements arriving via elevators. Clearing a zone means eliminating all hostiles within to trigger a checkmark on your HUD.

Additionally, players need to loot intel documents from Cartel or AQ soldiers specifically within these restricted areas. This intel must then be successfully extracted from the Koschei Complex, adding a layer of risk as exfiltration points are limited and contested.

Essential Preparation and Gear

Before deploying into Koschei Complex, stock up on key items:

• L2 Keycards: Acquire at least two, as each costs 50,000 in-game cash at buy stations or can be found in high-value loot spots like External Ops or Al Mazrah Parking Garage. Two cards suffice for four zones since they often respawn post-clear.
• Car Battery and Jumper Cables: Crucial for powering bunker doors to reach the Alpha Cluster.
• Loadout Recommendations: Prioritize weapons effective against armored foes, such as shotguns for Riot Shields, high-mobility SMGs, and lethals like Semtex for tight spaces. Self-revive kits and plates are vital due to the intense AI density.

Enter via the Rhino side for quicker access to initial zones or purchase a Koschei entry from nearby buy stations to minimize travel time.

Navigating to Koschei Complex

Koschei Complex is an underground facility accessible from Al Mazrah. Key entry methods include:

Once inside, orient yourself using the map overlay to spot green doors indicating L2 zones. Progress tracks in real-time, allowing multiple clears per run.

Clearing the Factory Wing Restricted Zones

The Factory Wing hosts reliable L2 zones, ideal for the first clears. Start by grabbing the **Factory Admin Key** from Chemical Plant vents—crawl through ventilation shafts to locate it.

1. L2 Restricted Zone 1: Near the main Factory entrance. Use the L2 card on the green door. Expect 8-12 AI with standard loadouts. Flank from cover and prioritize headshots.
2. L2 Restricted Zone 2: Adjacent hallway. Clear simultaneously if possible, watching for elevator spawns.
3. L2 Restricted Zone 3: Deeper in the wing, post-Admin Key use. This area often refills keys, enabling chain clears.

Tip: After clearing, a new L2 key frequently spawns inside, allowing immediate access to another zone without repurchase.

Accessing and Clearing Alpha Cluster Zones

The Alpha Cluster offers three L2 zones in one area, perfect for rapid completion. Power the bunker door at the Chemical Plant with battery and cables, then descend.

Inside:

• Sentry guns patrol stairs—destroy or avoid them.
• Three green doors at room corners, each leading to a zone. Any counts toward progress.
• Clear all enemies behind doors; check HUD for confirmation.

Strategy: Enter crouched, use flashbangs on doors, and hold angles on reinforcements. This cluster alone can net three clears in one go.

Extracting Intel from Restricted Zones

Post-clear, search Cartel/AQ bodies for glowing intel documents. These drop reliably in L2 areas.

Exfil options include:

• Zone-specific extract points that unlock after clears.
• Main Koschei exfils, guarded heavily.

Hold intel until extraction; losing it on death resets this objective. Multiple runs may be needed if intel doesn’t drop immediately.

Advanced Tips for Efficient Completion

To optimize runs:

• Solo vs. Squad: Solo for control, squads for revives and split clears.
• Enemy Patterns: Riot Shields front-line; snipers elevate. Use UAVs for intel on spawns.
• Progress Tracking: Redo cleared zones—they count again across matches.
• Rewards Maximization: Loot everything; zones hold rare contraband.

Common pitfalls: Forgetting battery for Alpha, running out of keys, or ignoring reinforcements.

Potential Challenges and Solutions

High AI Difficulty: Scale by playing on easier difficulties if available, or gear for armor penetration.

Key Shortages: Farm Al Mazrah garages pre-run.

Intel Rarity: Clear multiple zones per match; drops increase with activity.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do I need exactly four different zones?

No, the same zone cleared multiple times across runs counts, but variety speeds it up.

Where do L2 keys drop most reliably?

External Ops, parking garages, or post-clear in zones themselves.

Can I complete this in one deployment?

Yes, with two L2 keys and battery—Factory for two, Alpha for two.

What if I lose the intel?

Re-loot from another zone; extraction is per-piece.

Is this mission solo-friendly?

Highly, with good positioning and lethals.

Why Tackle Unrestricted Access?

Beyond rewards, mastering these zones unlocks Koschei secrets, hones AI combat skills, and advances Shadow Company tiers. It’s a gateway to endgame DMZ content.
