Unlocking Lies of P Pre-Order Rewards

Lies of P, the gripping soulslike reimagining of Pinocchio’s tale in a grim, mechanical world, offered enticing pre-order incentives to early adopters. These bonuses, ranging from unique outfits to digital collectibles, enhance customization and immersion right from the start. Whether you snagged the Digital Deluxe Edition or a standard pre-order, knowing how to access them is key to fully enjoying the game.

Overview of Available Pre-Order Incentives

Pre-order rewards for Lies of P were designed to appeal to fans of cosmetic personalization in challenging action RPGs. The core bonuses include themed attire and accessories that nod to the game’s puppetry and Victorian horror aesthetic. These items are exclusively available to those who committed early, adding a layer of prestige to your puppet protagonist.

• Mischievous Puppet’s Clothes and Parade Hat: Early access exclusives evoking a playful yet eerie marionette vibe, perfect for stealthy traversals through Krat’s fog-shrouded streets.
• Great Venigni’s Signature Coat and Glasses: Deluxe Edition perks inspired by the enigmatic inventor, offering a scholarly look that fits narrative lore.
• Digital Art Book: A bonus for Deluxe buyers, packed with concept art revealing the development of this Neowiz masterpiece.

These cosmetics do not impact gameplay stats but allow for standout personalization in a genre where every detail matters.¹⁴

Platform-Specific Redemption Processes

Redemption varies by purchase method and platform, ensuring accessibility whether you bought digitally or physically. Digital pre-orders typically auto-apply bonuses upon launch, while physical copies require manual code entry.

Steam Users: Seamless Integration and Cache Fixes

For PC gamers on Steam, pre-order bonuses should appear automatically after installing the Digital Deluxe Edition. However, early access hiccups in September 2023 affected some, stemming from download cache issues.¹

1. Launch Steam and verify game files via Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity.
2. Navigate to Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache. Restart Steam afterward.
3. Re-download and launch Lies of P; bonuses unlock in the wardrobe menu.

If issues persist post-clear, bonuses like the puppet outfit may require relaunching the game multiple times.

PlayStation 5: Console Code Activation

PS5 players with physical copies receive redemption codes via retailer email or insert. Digital Deluxe auto-grants items on first boot.

• Redeem via PS Store: Go to Library > Your PSN Account > Redeem Code.
• Enter the 12-digit code from your retailer.
• Launch Lies of P; check the customization screen for new outfits.

Pro tip: Ensure your PSN region matches the code’s origin to avoid errors.

Xbox Series X|S: Microsoft Store Simplicity

Xbox handles pre-orders similarly, with physical editions providing codes for the Microsoft Store.

Deluxe digital purchases bypass codes entirely.¹

Common Hurdles and Proven Solutions

Many players encountered missing bonuses during the 2023 launch. Here’s a diagnostic guide:

• Missing After Launch: Restart the game and platform client. For Steam, clear cache as detailed.¹
• Code Errors: Double-check for typos; codes are case-sensitive. If invalid, request a replacement from the retailer.
• Early Access Glitches: Resolved by Neowiz post-September 15, 2023, but cache clears fixed lingering issues.

Visual showcases confirm items like the Parade Hat add flair without gameplay advantages.⁴

Equipping Your New Cosmetics In-Game

Once redeemed, access bonuses via the main hub’s wardrobe. Select outfits under the cosmetics tab; no P-Organ upgrades needed. Experiment with mixes, like pairing Venigni’s coat with puppet accessories, for unique silhouettes during boss fights.

These items persist through New Game+ cycles, rewarding long-term play.

Deluxe Edition Deep Dive: Beyond Basics

Opting for Digital Deluxe unlocked premium extras. Beyond cosmetics, the art book offers lore insights via Steam or console libraries. Early access granted a head start on Krat’s challenges, now a fond memory for veterans.
