Unlock Basim’s Valhalla Outfit in AC Mirage

Assassin’s Creed Mirage brings back the stealthy roots of the series, and one of the highlights for fans is accessing special costumes like Basim’s outfit from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This cosmetic reward connects the narrative threads between games, letting players dress Basim in his future gear without extra cost. Unlocking it requires a simple Ubisoft Connect linkage, making it accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Why Basim’s Valhalla Outfit Matters

The Valhalla costume for Basim isn’t just a skin—it’s a nod to his evolving story across titles. In Mirage, set in 9th-century Baghdad, Basim starts as a street thief turning assassin. This outfit previews his appearance from Valhalla, where he appears older and more battle-hardened, tying into the modern-day lore. Players who enjoyed Valhalla’s Viking saga get a rewarding crossover without purchasing DLC.

Cosmetics in Mirage divide into outfits (with ability perks like enhanced stealth) and pure costumes (visual only). The Valhalla one is cosmetic, overlaying your equipped outfit’s bonuses while changing Basim’s look. It’s free but account-bound, encouraging unified Ubisoft profiles.

Prerequisites for Claiming the Outfit

Before diving in, ensure these basics:

• Own Assassin’s Creed Mirage on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC (via Ubisoft Connect or Ubisoft+).
• Have played Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on the same Ubisoft account—no cross-account transfers.
• A verified Ubisoft Connect account linked to your platform.

If you haven’t touched Valhalla, start a session briefly on the same account to qualify. Progress isn’t needed; just launching it suffices.

Step-by-Step Guide to Unlocking Basim’s Valhalla Costume

Follow these precise steps from the main menu or in-game:

1. Launch AC Mirage and reach the main menu. If in Baghdad (post-Atamut training), access via pause menu.
2. Navigate to the Store: Select the Animus Store tab.
3. Switch to Ubisoft Connect: Press RB (Xbox) or R1 (PS5) to highlight the Connect section.
4. Locate Rewards: Scroll to Old Basim Costume (aka Valhalla outfit). It appears if eligible.
5. Claim It: Press X (Xbox) or Square (PS5) to redirect to Ubisoft Connect. Accept the free claim.
6. Bonus Reward: Grab the accompanying 50 Dirham pouch for in-game currency.
7. Equip in Inventory: Once claimed, go to Wardrobe (Harbiyah Bureau onwards). Select under Costumes.

Post-claim, the outfit equips instantly. Test it during missions for that authentic Valhalla vibe in Mirage’s rooftops.

Other Iconic Costumes: Altair and Ezio

While Valhalla’s is free for cross-game players, Altair and Ezio demand Ubisoft Units (earned via playtime and challenges).

Earn Units faster by completing Mirage’s Baghdad progress (story quests, collectibles). Many overlap with natural play, netting 120+ Units early.

Earning Ubisoft Units Quickly

Units fuel non-free cosmetics. Grind efficiently:

• Level Up Account: Play any Ubisoft title; XP accumulates across games.
• Mirage Milestones: Enigmas, Lost Books, Gear Chests—many auto-complete in story.
• Daily/Weekly Challenges: Quick tasks like assassinations or pickpocketing.
• Cross-Title Boost: Valhalla or other AC games speed progression.

Aim for Harbiyah arrival: You’ll likely have enough for Altair and Ezio.

Outfits vs. Costumes: Key Differences

Don’t confuse them:

• Outfits: 24 total, from Gear Chests (random). Perks like health regen or eagle vision boosts. Examples: Zanj Uprising (stealth), Fire Demon (intimidation).
• Costumes: Cosmetic overrides. Retain outfit perks, change visuals. Unlock via Connect or missions (e.g., Master Assassin via Bureau threads).

Gear Chests scatter across Baghdad districts—prioritize Harbiyah and Kinda for early unlocks.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Outfit not showing? Try these:

• Account Sync: Relaunch game, verify Connect linkage in settings.
• Valhalla Progress: Confirm same account; create if needed.
• Platform Glitch: Clear cache or restart Ubisoft Connect app.
• Region Lock: Rare, but check Ubisoft support for eligibility.

If post-Harbiyah and still missing, inventory refresh via Wardrobe reload.

Integrating Costumes into Gameplay

Once unlocked, experiment:

Stealth Builds: Pair Valhalla with stealth outfits for narrative immersion—Basim’s future self overlooking past kills.

Combat Flair: Altair or Ezio over Fire Demon for hybrid eagle dives and flames.

Costumes shine in photo mode or contracts, blending eras visually.

Broader AC Mirage Customization Options

Beyond Connect rewards, explore:

• Master Assassin Costume: Complete all four Bureau investigations.
• Dirham Pouches: Frequent Connect claims boost economy.
• Premium Packs: Avoid if free hunting; focus in-game.

Full wardrobe unlocks post-story, rewarding completionists.

Connecting Mirage and Valhalla Narratives

Basim’s arc spans games: Mirage details his Hidden One origins, Valhalla his Isu awakening. The outfit symbolizes growth, available reciprocally—Mirage players get Valhalla gear there too.

This linkage exemplifies Ubisoft’s shared universe, no extra buy-in needed.
