Unlock All Characters in Vampire Survivors Ode to Castlevania

The Ode to Castlevania DLC for Vampire Survivors brings a massive expansion with over 80 new characters inspired by the iconic Castlevania series. This guide provides a fresh, detailed roadmap to unlocking them all, starting from core DLC fighters and progressing to deeply hidden secrets. Whether you’re a newcomer or veteran survivor, these strategies ensure you collect every playable hero, villain, and mega-evolved form without missing a beat.

Getting Started: Essential DLC Characters and Map Basics

Begin your adventure in the sprawling castle map of Ode to Castlevania. The first character, Leon Belmont, unlocks automatically upon purchasing and starting the DLC. From there, prioritize collecting the four gate keys scattered across the map. These keys—Stallion, Mirror of Truth, CAA, and King’s Gate—open barriers, enable teleportation, and spawn critical items like mirrors for additional unlocks.

• Stallion Key: Enter the castle entrance, head straight to the first red summoning circle, and defeat the boss.
• Mirror of Truth Key: Located in early explorable areas; collecting it spawns mirrors that unlock characters like Maria Renard.
• CAA Gate Key: Triggers more mirrors and progression items.
• King’s Gate Key: Found by defeating Abidon in the clock tower beneath the throne room.

With all keys, the full map unlocks, allowing access to hidden paths, bosses, and collectibles. Play on Hurry mode for safe AFK farming if needed.

Core Progression: Reaching the Throne and First Unlocks

Select Richter Belmont to head straight for the throne room at the map’s end. This triggers a cinematic nod to Symphony of the Night, culminating in a battle that unlocks Dracula (Vlad Tepes). Post-fight, Death disarms you, summoning Castlevania protagonists to aid in victory. This grants the Black Disk, immediately unlocking 20 base characters.

These 20 form the foundation. Evolve specific weapons with characters like Quincy Morris or Maxim Kischine to access more, such as fully evolving Globus for Julia Laforeze.

Weapon Evolutions: Mid-Tier Character Unlocks

Many characters require weapon evolutions. Level weapons to max, open chests, and meet kill thresholds. For instance:

• Quincy Morris: Evolve his signature whip.
• Henry: Max and evolve Custos weapons, then kill 100,000 enemies transformed.
• Carrie Fernandez: Fully evolve her magic arsenal.
• Young Maria Renard: Play as base Maria and evolve her starting weapon with Pummarola (deal 80,000 damage).

Pile of Secrets appears after throne completion, unlocking another wave including Familiar and Innocent Devil by picking up Familiar Forge twice as Julia (no identical familiars needed).

Survive 30 minutes with Hammer for its unlock, emphasizing endurance builds.

Advanced Secrets: Southern Castle and Ebony/Crimson Stones

Venture south from spawn (left then right with guides on) to a coffin granting Reinhardt Schneider. Deeper in, defeat a secret boss for Ebony and Crimson Stones, unlocking mega forms like Megalo Elizabeth Bartley (100k kills as base Elizabeth).

• Olrox: 100k kills as base version.
• Megalo Death/Dracula: Similar kill milestones with evolutions.
• Shaft: Use Max Crown in specific runs.
• Umbra: Defeat 4,000 enemies as Shaft, then evolve with Max Attract Orb.

Head to marked southern spots for Legion boss; victory expands access.

Ultimate Wave: Powerhouses and Boss Kill Requirements

Defeat every castle boss (not necessarily one run) to unlock Graham. This opens final powerhouses:

Characters like Genya Arikado, Stone Skull, and Ruler Sword come via cheat codes or full boss clears. Spells from Siliconera list instant-unlock options for testing.

Strategies for Efficient Unlocking

Build Tips:

• Use Mad Groove for pulling items/enemies.
• Max Attract Orbs for evolutions like Umbra.
• Skullomania for whip evolutions (Sonia’s Sonic Whip: survive 8 mins).
• Dominus glyphs: Collect all three, max out for evolution.

Pro Runs: AFK in Hurry mode for passives. Teleport with keys for speed. Nathan Graves unlocks Sonic Dash after 6k kills.
