Tulsi Kumar was born to the music mogul Gulshan Kumar in 1986. She therefore had music in her veins, and it should come as no surprise that she took to singing at a very young age. At the age of six, she started training in classical music with the prominent singer Suresh Wadkar. As time passed by, she honed her skills and made her début in Bollywood playback singing in the year 2006 with the film Chup Chup Ke, which had music composed by Himesh Reshammiya. In 2009, she even released her own independent album and since then there has been no turning back for Tulsi Kumar.

The Proposal

It was somewhere around mid-2013 that Tulsi was attending one of her friend’s wedding. It was there that she met a handsome and tall guy called Hitesh Ralhan. The two immediately struck a chord, and within no time became close friends. Things were definitely going the amorous way for the ‘close friends’ and in few months the two actually started dating each other. By 2014, the press and pals online counld confirm that Tulsi was very much in love with Hitesh, who is a Jaipur-based exporter for garments and home furnishings. What no one could say anything about, was a possibility of a Tulsi Kumar wedding to Hitesh Ralhan.

And then one day in October 2014, Hitesh asked her out for a date at a plush Hotel in suburban hotel in Mumbai. It was like any other date for the lady up till the moment Hitesh took out a ring from his pocket and popped the quintessential question, ‘Will you marry me?’ Tulsi Kumar later shared in an interview that she didn’t see that coming. The surprised yet elated Tulsi replied with an affirmative ‘Yes’, and soon the pair had a formal engagement three days later on 24th October at Tulsi’s residence in the presence of family members.

The news spread online of an affirmative impending Tulsi Kumar wedding to Hitesh, and there was a collective cheer, since these two were a nice level pair, and rumour goes Hitesh likes Tulsi just as much, so yes, cuteness galore.

The Lush Hitesh Ralhan Tulsi Kumar Wedding

The date was set for 22nd February 2015 for the Hitesh Ralhan Tulsi Kumar wedding. The functions began as early as 8th February with events held in Jaipur and Delhi, and a reception in Mumbai. The wedding festivities kicked off by first taking the blessings of the almighty with the Mata ki Chowki function in Delhi. The to-be bride and bridegroom were dressed in their splendid best with Tulsi wearing a pink lehenga and Hitesh wearing deep blue kurta pyjama topped by a lustrous closed-neck jacket.

After this began the set of the major events that would entail the Hitesh Ralhan Tulsi Kumar wedding . It began with the cocktail party at Hitesh’s home city Jaipur. Tulsi wore a wonderful fusion dress for this event, which was a gown with lovely embellishments like that of a lehenga. She also wore some traditional jewellery to complement the dress. Hitesh wore a band gala of a contemporary design that had black leaves on a white background.

This event was followed by the sangeet ceremony that was held at the The Umrao Hotel in New Delhi. Every aspect of decoration was taken care of and done very well. From the resplendent pseudo peacocks to the grand throne for the bride, there was so much detail in everything that it was an event that was feast to the eyes. Tulsi wore a heavily embroidered lehenga while Hitesh wore a sherwani with golden embroidery in it, which was coupled with a red dupatta. The couple even shook a leg with family and friends. The Hitesh Ralhan Tulsi Kumar wedding celebrations were up, up and away, and how!

This was followed by the mehndi ceremony, which was also held in New Delhi. It was another lavish event and Tulsi wore some special floral jewellery for this event with a lehenga that had design patterns matching the colour of the flowers. Hitesh wore a light copper coloured kurta pyjama with a jacket that was heavily adorned with embroidered flower motifs. The couple shook a leg with the family members even at the mehndi ceremony.

After this came the main gala event, that is the Hitesh Ralhan Tulsi Kumar wedding! For this event, Tulsi wore a gorgeous light orange coral lehenga and sported the quintessential Punjabi wedding ornament kaliren. Hitesh was decked up in light gold coloured sherwani with a light orange turban, which was interestingly of the same colour of his lady-love’s lehenga. Hitesh also carried a light pink dupatta with some sequin work.

The newly espoused couple then threw a grand reception for all their industry and family friends in Mumbai. The duo looked dazzling on the stage with Tulsi wearing a lehenga that had flower motifs, while Hitesh wore a lovely sherwani that had embroidered illustrations of purple coloured roses. The reception was attended by who’s who of the Bollywood industry, and was truly a lush star-studded affair.

Life Since Then

At the end of all the formal Hitesh Ralhan Tulsi Kumar wedding ceremonies and reception. the two took off on a trip to New Zealand and French Polynesia for a romantic honeymoon.

After the wedding, Tulsi started taking up more work as a playback singer in Bollywood.
