6. Decoration 101: Putting Those Final Touches

This is what will take your cake from delicious to becoming a true work of art. Gum paste (or sugar paste) is commonly used to decorate your wedding cake. It is hardened fondant, which gives it a porcelain structure, and is used to make sturdy flowers, figurines and butterflies on your cake.
