Top Flying-Type Pokémon Ranked

Flying-type Pokémon have long been staples in competitive play and story adventures due to their speed, versatility, and ability to bypass terrain obstacles. This ranking evaluates them based on base stats, move pools, abilities, and real-world performance in games like Pokémon GO, main series titles, and anime appearances. We prioritize overall impact, from raw power to support roles.

Why Flying-Types Dominate Battles

Flying-types excel with immunities to Ground moves, high speeds, and diverse typings. They counter Fighting, Bug, and Grass foes while supporting teams with weather control or entry hazard removal. Dual typings like Dragon/Flying or Steel/Flying add defensive layers, making them indispensable.

• Key Strengths: Speed tiers above 100, STAB moves like Brave Bird, and utility options such as Roost.
• Weaknesses: Electric, Rock, and Ice vulnerabilities require careful team building.
• Modern Meta: Mega evolutions and Terastallization amplify their potential.
