Top ADC Partners for Milio Support

Milio, the radiant enchanter support, brings a unique blend of shields, speed boosts, and extended attack range to the bot lane. His kit excels at protecting carries while amplifying their damage output, making certain ADC champions shine brighter when paired with him. This guide dives into the strongest synergies, ranked by effectiveness, drawing from recent patch data and high-elo insights.

Understanding Milio’s Kit and Synergy Potential

Milio’s abilities revolve around buffs and protection. His **W – Warm Hugs** grants bonus attack range and speed to allies, ideal for poke-heavy or scaling ADCs. **E – Windforce** provides movement speed for kiting, while his **R – Breath of Life** cleanses and heals the team. These tools counter aggressive dives and enable safe scaling, with a reported 52.2% win rate across ranks due to his anti-engage prowess.

Pairing Milio with ADCs that benefit from extended range, sustained damage, or mobility creates unstoppable duos. Data from Patch 16.08 shows strong synergies with mobile and on-hit carries.

S-Tier Synergies: Unmatched Powerhouses

These top-tier picks leverage Milio’s buffs to dominate laning and teamfights.

• Aphelios: Milio’s W perfectly complements Aphelios’ weapon-switching playstyle, extending range on all forms for safe poke. Despite needing frontline, this duo excels in enchanter metas.
• Jinx: Her Q rockets gain massive value from extra range, allowing global pressure post-kills. Jinx thrives with enchanters, shredding teams with Milio’s shields.
• Lucian: The premier pairing. Milio’s shields proc Lucian’s passive frequently, boosting burst while E aids his dashes. Fun and effective in diamond play.

A-Tier Picks: Reliable Scaling Threats

These champions offer consistent performance with Milio’s utility.

Varus’ unmatched on-hit damage pairs seamlessly with Milio’s aura haste.

B-Tier: Situational but Viable

These work decently but lack perfect synergy.

• Vayne: Level 1 strength and W scaling benefit from range, though she prefers tank supports.
• Caitlyn: Long range plus W seems ideal, but lacks CC synergy; still viable for poke lanes.

Caitlyn’s traps and Milio’s speed create zoning, but engage supports often outperform.

Lower Tiers: Avoid or Adapt

Champions like those needing heavy peel struggle, as Milio offers buffs over hard CC.

Optimal Builds and Runes for Milio Duos

For S-tier pairs, rush **Ardent Censer** for attack speed and on-hit amps. Runes: Summon Aery, Manaflow Band, with Scorch for poke. Items include Shurelya’s for engages.

• Against aggressive lanes: Prioritize E for kiting.
• Scaling games: Stack W buffs early.

Laning Phase Strategies by Duo

Aphelios-Milio

Poke with Calibrum, use W for safe trades. Roam mid post-laning.

Jinx-Milio

Freeze wave, punish overextends with rockets. Super minion push scales hard.

Lucian-Milio

Shield-proc dashes for all-ins. Trade aggressively early.

Teamfight Tips

Milio’s R cleanses dives, enabling ADCs to reposition. Position behind for auras, use E to chase or escape. In lower ranks, his kit neutralizes engages, securing 52%+ wins.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

• Overextending without vision.
• Forgetting W range extension in sieges.
• Ignoring R for team cleanses.
