Despite recent increases in Nintendo Switch 2 hardware pricing, gamers are finding exceptional value in game discounts across digital and physical stores. Official promotions and retailer sales offer some of the lowest prices ever on flagship titles, making it an ideal time to expand your library.
Why Now is Prime Time for Switch 2 Purchases
The Nintendo Switch 2 has seen its MSRP hold steady at $449.99, but bundled offers through May 9 provide $20 savings when pairing the console with select adventures. Parallel to this, eShop spring sales and third-party retailer promotions have slashed prices on both legacy Switch games with Switch 2 enhancements and native titles. These deals counteract any perceived cost pressures, delivering high-value entertainment.
Many discounted games feature free patches or dedicated Switch 2 editions, boosting performance with improved graphics, faster load times, and enhanced features. This backward compatibility turns older hits into must-haves for new hardware owners.
Top First-Party Deals Stealing the Spotlight
Nintendo’s own lineup dominates the bargains, with perennial favorites seeing cuts from their $60 standard price. Here’s a breakdown of standout offers:
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at $47 (was $60): The ultimate racer remains essential, now with Switch 2 optimizations for smoother online play.

These titles form the backbone of any Switch 2 collection, blending timeless appeal with modern enhancements.
