The retro gaming world is buzzing with an incredible offer: the Super Pocket TECHNOS edition handheld combined with the Evercade Tomb Raider Collection for just $58.30. This bundle delivers premium nostalgia at a fraction of the cost of new-gen titles like Switch 2 games, making it a must-have for arcade enthusiasts and Tomb Raider fans alike.
Why This Bundle Stands Out in Retro Gaming
Retro handhelds have surged in popularity, offering authentic experiences without emulation hassles. The Super Pocket excels here, packing 15 built-in arcade classics from Technos like Double Dragon and River City Ransom. Paired with the Tomb Raider cartridge, it unlocks three PS1-era adventures: Tomb Raider 1, 2, and 3. This isn’t just a deal; it’s a gateway to over 500 games via Evercade’s cartridge ecosystem.
At $47.99 for the handheld (down 15% from $56.37) and $10.31 for the collection (over 50% off from $24.99), the total beats the handheld’s regular price alone. UK pricing mirrors the value at £42.99 and £18.99 respectively.
Breaking Down the Super Pocket TECHNOS Edition
The Super Pocket is a pocket-sized powerhouse designed for purity. Its compact form factor fits anywhere, with a crisp screen, responsive D-pad, and precise buttons ideal for beat ’em ups and platformers. No batteries needed—plug in via USB-C for endless play.
- Built-in Games: 15 Technos gems including Double Dragon, River City Ransom, and more for instant action.
- Cartridge Support: Compatible with all Evercade carts, expanding to Namco, Atari, and indie titles.
- Build Quality: Durable plastic shell with nostalgic transparent design in TECHNOS variant.
- Portability: Weighs under 100g, smaller than a smartphone.
This edition hits a record low, undercutting competitors while delivering superior arcade fidelity.
Reliving Lara Croft’s Iconic Trilogy
The Evercade Tomb Raider Collection revives Core Design’s masterpieces with minor enhancements for modern hardware. Experience Lara’s debut in ancient tombs, the Great Wall chases of TR2, and global conspiracies in TR3—all faithfully ported from PS1.
| Game | Key Highlights | Playtime |
|---|---|---|
| Tomb Raider 1 | Peru pyramids, crocodiles, epic puzzles | 10-15 hours |
| Tomb Raider 2 | Venice canals, diving suits, China levels | 12-18 hours |
| Tomb Raider 3 | London streets, Antarctica, meteor mystery | 15-20 hours |
These titles defined adventure gaming, blending exploration, combat, and platforming. On Super Pocket, they run smoothly, though some note minor compatibility quirks like control tweaks—nothing deal-breaking.
Comparing Super Pocket to Modern Handhelds
In a market flooded with emulation devices like AYANEO or Retroid, Super Pocket shines for legitimacy. No ROM dumping; official carts ensure quality and legality.
| Feature | Super Pocket | Switch 2 (Est.) | AYANEO Pocket |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price (w/ Games) | $58 bundle | $70+ per game | $200+ |
| Game Library | 500+ official | Digital focus | Emulation |
| Battery | USB powered | 4-6 hours | 6-8 hours |
| Authenticity | Official ports | Modern remakes | Unofficial |
It’s cheaper than a single Switch 2 title, with broader retro access.
