Ravindra Jadeja’s passion for cricket began right in the early years of his life. The Rajput boy made his eventual international cricket début in the year 2009 by being part of India’s national cricket team. He is known for being as adept at bowling as much as he is at batting, and is also regarded as quite a proficient fielder. When it comes to matter of heart though, Jaddu, as Jadeja is fondly known, had a straightforward arranged marriage with a girl he fell in love with the moment he saw her. Ravindra Jadeja – The Cricketer
Ravindra Jadeja was born on 6th December, 1988, in a Rajput family. He developed interest in cricket right an early age and started taking formal coaching when he was sixteen years old. His performance in domestic cricket in the year 2008 caught the attention of national team selectors, and he was finally selected to the Indian cricket team in the year 2009. Ravindra has reached greater heights in his cricket career since then, and has gone on to become the first Indian cricketer and the eighth one in the history of cricket to score three consecutive triple centuries in first-class cricket. The Rajput all-rounder was hot property and a Ravindra Jadeja marriage inspired quite a bit curiosity.

Love At First Sight
Apparently, Ravindra’s family was keen on getting him married soon too. His sister would ask him to search for suitable wedding matches but he would always brush aside the topic stating that he did not have time for anything apart from cricket. It is said though that Jadeja’s family found a worthy match for him around December 2015 in a Rajkot-based mechanical engineer named Riva Solanki who was just two years younger to Ravindra. Riva’s father is a businessman from Rajkot and her mother works in Indian Railways. It is said that Riva and Naina (his sister) were acquaintances, and therefore the match seemed perfect to the Jadeja family, and they insisted that Ravindra meet the girl at least once. Reluctantly the ace cricketer agreed, and was bolted by a pleasant surprise when he realised that Riva was the kind of girl he was looking all this while.
It is said that Ravindra fell in love with Riva the moment he saw her. Later, in an interview, he shared that he found Riva ‘attractive, educated, understanding’, which were the qualities he was seeking in his prospective life partner. After their first meeting, the couple is said to have shared their numbers and continued to stay in touch. The duo soon started bonding with each other firmly and in couple of months realised that they were indeed made for each other. By January 2016, a Riva Solanki Ravindra Jadeja marriage was on the cards.

Jaddu’s Engagement
The doting pair shared the news of their strong affiliation with their families who were happy to give their consent to the match (remember it was an arranged marriage!). The parents were definitely very much delighted and decided to have an engagement ceremony on 6th February, 2016, in Rajkot (Riva’s native city).
Interestingly, Ravindra already owned a restaurant in Rajkot named Jaddu’s Food Field, and the couple decided to have their engagement ceremony at the restaurant itself. The restaurant was transformed into a grand venue and the Riva Solanki Ravindra Jadeja marriage engagement ceremony was no meagre one, with enough celebratory touches to it to make you think it was a wedding going on.
Ravindra was decked up in a heavily embroidered Jodhpuri sherwani while Riva shimmered in a plush orange lehenga. The couple exchanged rings in front of close friends and relatives, and also exchanged gold bracelets as it is customary in their community. The gleaming faces of Ravindra and Riva said it all, and their happiness definitely seemed boundless that day. It was later shared at the end of the ceremony that the couple were looking at a wedding date two months later subject to Jadeja’s cricket schedule. News then got out that the Riva Solanki Ravindra Jadeja marriage was set for 17th April, 2016, at Rajkot itself.

The Royal Riva Solanki Ravindra Jadeja marriage Wedding
The couple kicked off their festivities with a haldi and sangeet ceremony, which were family-only affairs. The Riva Solanki Ravindra Jadeja marriage venue was a premium hotel in Rajkot, and Ravindra arrived at the venue in a truly royal style, in a premium SUV gifted by his parent-in-laws. After that, he rode a horse to the main hotel porch. It was a true royal Rajput wedding with Ravindra decked up in traditional Rajput wedding attire with a turban featuring a broach. He even sported a sword in a decorated scabbard or sword sheath.
Riva wore a traditional red and green Rajput bridal saree with ornate jewellery. It was a traditional wedding incorporating all the ceremonial customs found in a Rajput wedding. The highlight of the Riva Solanki Ravindra Jadeja marriage though was the Garba dance performed by Ravindra’s Indian Premier League (IPL) team-mates Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo. It was an event where Ravindra had invited every close friend from the cricket-circle. The wedding ceremony was followed by additional customary ceremonies at Ravindra Jadeja’s native place Jamnagar. Eventually, the couple had wedding receptions held at Rajkot as well as Jamnagar.

The Happy Wedlock
Since the Riva Solanki Ravindra Jadeja marriage, Riva is seen supporting her beau from the stands whenever he is playing and going by the looks of it love is surely in the air. In an interview after her marriage, she shared that she had no interest in cricket earlier but now watches it because of her husband. “I particularly watch cricket when Ravindra is batting or bowling.” she added. The couple are now commonly spotted together at cricketing events and they both definitely seem to be at the top of the world.
