Paneer (Cottage Cheese) is a versatile ingredient, and you can use it to prepare infinite yummy dishes with minimum hassle. Paneer (Cottage Cheese) is no less than a super food for toddlers. 1. Chili Paneer (Cottage Cheese):

You Will Need:

  • 2 cups of paneer (Cottage Cheese), chopped
  • 1 capsicum
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • Green chilies, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp of tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp of chili sauce
  • 2 Tbsp of soy sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup of chopped spring onion
  • 1/2 Tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 Tbsp of garlic paste
  • 1/3rd cup of oil

For Marinade:

  • 3 Tbsp of all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp of rice flour
  • 1 Tbsp of cornflour
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1/2 Tbsp of pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water to make a smooth paste

How To:

  1. Mix all the ingredients to prepare the marinade and dip paneer (Cottage Cheese) cubes in it. Keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the paneer (Cottage Cheese) cubes until they turn golden brown in color.
  1. Now add oil in a wok and add the spring onion, ginger paste, garlic paste and green chilies.
  1. Sauté for two minutes and then add the onion and capsicum. Sauté the vegetables for three minutes.
  1. Add chili sauce, tomato sauce, salt, and soy sauce. Stir continuously and cook for two minutes. Add the fried paneer (Cottage Cheese) cubes and water. Let the gravy simmer until it thickens.

2. Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Pakoda:

You Will Need:

  • 2 cups of gram flour
  • 1/2 cup of rice flour
  • 250gm of paneer (Cottage Cheese)
  • 1 Tbsp of baking soda
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup of Oil

How To:

  1. Mix gram flour, rice flour, salt, water and baking soda in a large bowl. Leave it aside for 10 to 15 minutes. Dip the paneer (Cottage Cheese) cubes in the mix.
  1. Now heat the oil in a wok and fry the paneer (Cottage Cheese) until it turns golden brown in color.
  1. Serve with tomato ketchup.

3. Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Bhurji:

You Will Need:

  • 200 gm of paneer (Cottage Cheese)
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp coriander powder
  • ½ Tbsp of cumin powder
  • ½ Tbsp of red chili powder
  • ¼ Tbsp of turmeric powder
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • ½ Tbsp of cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste

How To:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds. When the seeds begin to crackle, add green chili, onion, and tomato. Sauté well.
  1. Then add the spices and salt. Cook for a few minutes..
  1. Now add the crumbled paneer (Cottage Cheese) and sauté for another two minutes.

4. Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Cutlet:

You Will Need:

  • 100 gm of paneer (Cottage Cheese)
  • ¼th cup of corn kernels
  • 3 Tbsp of grated carrots
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 Tbsp of Oil
  • 3 Tbsp of fresh coriander
  • A handful of raisins
  • A handful of cashews
  • 1/4th cup of bread crumbs
  • 1/2 Tbsp of turmeric powder
  • 1 Tbsp of finely chopped green chilies
  • 1/2 Tbsp of Amchur (Dry mango powder)
  • 1 Tbsp of red chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp of Kasoori Methi (dried fenugreek leaves)

How To:

  1. Process the sweet corn and keep it aside,
  1. Add all the ingredients except cashew in a large bowl.
  1. Divide the mix into equal portions and flatten slightly. Press half a cashew on each cutlet and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  1. Arrange the cutlets on a lined baking tray and spray a little oil over it. Bake until both the sides turn brown in color.

5. Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Fingers:

You Will Need:

  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of cornflour
  • 1/2 Tbsp of baking powder
  • 1/2 Tbsp of Ajwain or carom seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 100 gm Paneer (Cottage Cheese)
  • 1 cup of Oil

How To:

  1. Add flour, baking powder, salt, cornflour, and carom seeds in a bowl. Add water and mix well to form a smooth paste.
  1. Heat the oil in a wok. Dip the paneer (Cottage Cheese) cubes in the paste and fry until golden brown in color.

6. Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Sandwich:

You Will Need:

  • 1/2 cup of crumbled paneer (Cottage Cheese)
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped tomatoes
  • 2 Tbsp finely chopped capsicum
  • 1 finely chopped green chili
  • 2 Tbsp of tomato sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp of red chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt – to taste
  • 2 Tbsp of oil
  • 4 bread slices
  • 2 Tbsp of butter

How To:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add onion and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown in color.
  1. Then add tomato and capsicum. Sauté for a minute.
  1. Now add chili powder, salt, and tomato sauce. Cook for two minutes.
  1. Add the crumbled paneer (Cottage Cheese) and cook for a minute. Add finely chopped coriander leaves and remove the pan from heat.
  1. Now take a slice of bread and add a layer of paneer (Cottage Cheese) on it. Add another slice of bread on top to make a paneer (Cottage Cheese) sandwich.
  1. Grease a griddle with butter and heat it. Place the paneer (Cottage Cheese) sandwich on the griddle and toast until it turns golden brown on both sides.

7. Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Tikka:

You Will Need:

  • 200 gm of paneer (Cottage Cheese), cubed
  • ½ capsicum, cubed
  • ½ onion
  • ½ tomato, cubed
  • ½ Tbsp of ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 Tbsp of chili powder
  • ½ Tbsp of Kasoori Methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • ½ Tbsp of chat masala
  • ½ Tbsp of tandoori masala
  • ½ Tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1 cup of yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp of oil
  • Salt to taste

How To:

  1. Mix the yogurt, lemon juice, salt, ginger-garlic paste and all the spices in a bowl.
  1. Soak the paneer (Cottage Cheese) cubes and the veggies in the marinade. Refrigerate for four hours.
  1. Now arrange the vegetables and paneer (Cottage Cheese) cubes on a skewer.
  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
  1. Brush some oil on the baking tray, paneer (Cottage Cheese) and vegetables.

8. Palak Paneer (Cottage Cheese):

You Will Need:

  • 1 cup of cubed paneer (Cottage Cheese)
  • 1 cup of spinach, boiled and pureed
  • 1 Tbsp of crushed garlic
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • ½ Tbsp of red chili powder
  • 1 tomato
  • ½ Tbsp of ginger paste
  • ½ Tbsp of cumin seeds
  • 1 Tbsp of coriander powder
  • 1Tbsp of garam masala
  • ¼ Tbsp of turmeric powder
  • 1 Tbsp of dried fenugreek leaves
  • A pinch of asafetida
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 Tbsp of ghee (Clarified butter)
  • Salt to taste

How To:

  1. Heat ghee (Clarified butter) in a pan and add the cumin seeds. Then add the chopped onion and fry until it turns brown in color.
  1. Now add the red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, and a pinch of asafetida.
  1. Now add the ginger-garlic paste and tomato puree. Cook for two minutes. Then add the spinach puree and cook for five minutes on medium flame.
  1. Add one cup of milk and bring it to a boil.
  1. Now add salt and dried fenugreek leaves. Let it simmer for ten minutes.
  1. Finally, add paneer (Cottage Cheese) and cook for five minutes.

9. Paneer (Cottage Cheese) Paratha:

You Will Need:

  • 1 cup of whole-wheat flour
  • 3 Tbsp of grated paneer (Cottage Cheese)
  • 1/2 Tbsp of red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • 1 Tbsp of ghee (Clarified butter) or clarified butter
  • 2 Tbsp of Oil

How To:

  1. Add wheat flour, grated paneer (Cottage Cheese), chili powder, salt, ghee (Clarified butter) and turmeric powder in a bowl. Add water and knead well to make a dough. Keep it aside for ten minutes.
  1. Divide the dough into equal balls and roll into small discs.
  1. Grease the pan with a little oil and cook the parathas on both sides.

You Will Need:

  • 1 cup of whole-wheat flour
  • 150 gm paneer (Cottage Cheese), grated
  • 2 Tbsp of oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 large tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp of ginger paste
  • 1 Tbsp of garlic paste
  • ¼ Tbsp of Kashmiri red chili powder
  • ¼ Tbsp of turmeric powder
  • 1 Tbsp of coriander powder
  • 1 Tbsp of lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

How To:

  1. Mix whole-wheat flour, salt, and water to make a firm dough. Leave it aside for 15 minutes. Divide the dough into equal balls and roll into small discs.
  1. Heat oil in a pan and add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, onion, chili powder, tomatoes, salt, and coriander powder. Cook for five minutes.
  1. Now add the paneer (Cottage Cheese) and lemon juice. Cook for a minute. Remove the pan from heat.
  1. Heat a non-stick pan and place the dough disc on it. Drizzle a little oil on it and cook on both sides.
  1. Remove the paratha from heat and add the Paneer (Cottage Cheese) filling.
  1. Roll and serve.
