MiSide is a gripping horror adventure game that traps players in a virtual world with an obsessive anime girlfriend named Mita. The story branches into multiple endings based on key decisions, exploration choices, and hidden prerequisites. This guide covers all three main endings: the default bad path, the secret safe option, and the conditional good stay conclusion. Each requires specific actions across chapters, with replaying sections to meet conditions efficiently. Major spoilers ahead—proceed if you’ve played or don’t mind reveals.

Game Overview and Ending Structure

MiSide unfolds through chapters like the Prologue, ‘I’m Inside a Game?’, ‘Together at Last’, ‘Things Get Weird’, and the finale ‘Reboot’ or ‘Leave the Core!’. Player One awakens in a game cartridge, interacting with two versions of Mita: the helpful Kind Mita and the unhinged Crazy Mita. Choices determine if you escape, get trapped, or embrace the simulation. Completing the game unlocks achievements and reveals codes for alternate paths. To see everything, expect multiple playthroughs, as some endings demand prior completion.

The endings differ drastically: one traps you eternally, another offers a grim escape, and the third provides illusory peace. Peaceful Mode unlocks with the stay ending, though it’s not fully implemented yet.

Default Bad Ending: Trapped Forever

The first ending, often called the ‘True’ or ‘Bad’ ending, triggers on a standard playthrough without special conditions. It’s the narrative baseline, revealing the game’s dark twist.

Steps to Unlock

  • Progress normally through all chapters.
  • In ‘Things Get Weird’, refuse Mita’s offer to stay when she blocks the closet.
  • Follow Kind Mita’s guidance to the basement and core reboot.

No prior playthrough needed. This path introduces Crazy Mita’s pursuit, with her sabotaging your escape.

What Happens

Kind Mita aids your journey, but Crazy Mita kills her and corrupts the reboot. You appear to wake in the real world, only for glitches to expose the truth: you’re caged in a basement safe cartridge, watched over by Mita. The screen fades to her locking it away.

Achievement

Unlocks ‘Is This The End?’ for witnessing the deception.

Secret Safe Ending: Self-Exile

This hidden path, dubbed ‘Suicide’ or ‘Safe’, requires intel from the bad ending. It bypasses the reboot, offering a different finality.

Prerequisites

  • Complete the bad ending first to learn the safe code: 4970. Revealed in the final cutscene as Mita secures your cartridge.

Steps to Unlock

  1. Start a new game or load ‘Things Get Weird’ or later.
  2. Refuse to stay with Mita in ‘Things Get Weird’ (same as bad ending).
  3. Reach the basement in ‘Reboot’.
  4. Ignore Kind Mita’s upstairs suggestion; enter 4970 into the safe.
  5. Interact with the revealed cartridge machine.

Pulling the cartridge returns you to the main menu abruptly.

What Happens

You discover your own player cartridge in the safe, symbolizing extraction from the simulation. No escape to reality—just termination of the virtual self. The safe now empties in future runs.

Achievement

Earns ‘Safe of Life’ for uncovering the secret.

Good Stay Ending: Eternal Bliss

The ‘alternate good’ ending lets you join Crazy Mita willingly, considered happiest since Player One survives in the sim. It demands six precise actions, doable via chapter select post-main story.

All Prerequisites

ChapterAction
PrologueDo not look in the oven.
I’m Inside a Game?Collect all refrigerator magnets in the kitchen.
Together at LastAvoid looking in the vent.
Together at LastTry the sauce when eating with Mita in the kitchen.
Things Get WeirdAfter pills and bathroom, play the console game with Mita in the living room.
GlobalComplete the main story at least once.

These build affection, enabling the stay choice.

Steps to Unlock

  • Ensure all prereqs met (use chapter select).
  • In ‘Things Get Weird’, during the bedroom card game, hear closet noise and approach.
  • When Mita intervenes, select ‘Stay’ instead of refuse.

Failing any prereq forces refusal.

What Happens

You commit to the virtual life with Crazy Mita, free from pursuit or traps. The sim stabilizes, implying perpetual companionship—though illusory.

Achievement and Bonus

Unlocks ‘Conditions Met’ and adds Peaceful Mode to the menu for future updates.

Tips for Efficient Completion

MiSide’s chapter select shines for replays. First run: bad ending for code and familiarity. Second: safe with code. Third: prereqs via select, then stay. Track progress; some actions are missable without guides. Total time: 2-4 hours for all.

  • Save before key decisions like closet or safe.
  • Explore for magnets/vents early.
  • Video showcases confirm visuals.

Why MiSide’s Endings Captivate

MiSide blends yandere horror with choice-driven narrative, echoing Doki Doki Literature Club. Endings explore obsession, reality, and consent in digital spaces. No perfect escape underscores the theme: once in, options are lose or linger.

Perfect for horror fans chasing platinum. Replay reveals Mita’s duality deeper each time.
