But do you know exactly what it is? Well, we’re here to start from the very basics of airbrush bridal makeup. We’re all familiar with regular make up from a young age, right? I’m sure many of us have sneaked into our mother’s room when we were kids and plastered ourselves (however poorly) with make up in an effort to look grown-up. That is regular or traditional make up, which usually consists of creams or liquids that are applied with brushes, sponges or just your fingertips. This is then sprayed onto your face and neck to form a thin layer with that matte finish. One of the biggest advantages of airbrush makeup is that it would make you look flawless in your photographs, especially if you’re having photographers cover your big day in High Definition. When it comes to regular or traditional makeup, any flaw in the contouring or a slip of sponge may be easily spotted by those High Definition cameras. In addition, because the foundation comes as a spray, it mimics the way the camera sees your face. Think of pixels being added on the images in a computer and you’ll know what I mean. Airbrush bridal makeup also makes it very easy to blend the makeup, and carrying to your neck, thereby giving your décolletage a seamless look. But one of the common myths about airbrush make up is that it is waterproof. Well, just because your foundation came out of an air gun rather than a brush would not automatically make your makeup waterproof. You would need to find the right makeup that is already marked as waterproof. Traditional make up, on the other hand is more opaque. And because regular make up is done by hand, it allows the makeup artist, or even you applying bridal makeup yourself at home, to be more involved in detailing that is perfectly suited to your face and your skin texture. Plus, there is definitely a greater variety of products that are meant to be applied using the brush or the sponge, which would mean that your makeup artist would find it easier to come up the right formula for your skin tone. But all said and done, this is one of the biggest decisions that you will make. Getting your make up perfect on your special day will really make you look like a diva. So, here is a list of questions you should ask yourself before deciding whether or not you want to get airbrush bridal makeup done on your special day. What Kind Of Skin Do I Have? Image : iMoments PhotographySponsored SearchIt is very important that you know the answer to this. Do you have smooth skin? Or do you have any acne, scarring, wrinkles on your face? Airbrush bridal makeup is too thin to properly conceal acne or scars that you may have on your face. In this case, your make up artist would have to first do a round of the traditional makeup using foundation and concealer. Once your spots or acne have been covered up by the concealer, then a layer of airbrush makeup might work. So if you’re one of those who are likely to need some concealer, then it might be best to choose regular make up over airbrush.Am I Willing To Make The Effort? You should know that when you get airbrush makeup done, it will cling to every pore of your face. So, if you have some facial hair, it will also cling to your hair, making it look like a brown fuzz. So, clean, exfoliate, wax, thread…do any of these before you get this done to ensure that you get the perfect look that you want. What Is My Budget?Knowing your budget is very important. Keep in mind that artists charge more for airbrush makeup. Sometimes the charges can be double of what it would cost you to get regular Indian bridal makeup. But bear in mind that not all artists charge a bomb. So it all comes down to whether you can find the right artist for the right price. Is My Makeup Artist Skilled Enough?Airbrush technique of makeup is not everyone’s cup of tea. You need to find an artist who is skilled and knowledgeable enough to have a thorough grasp of how to use the spray gun. Make sure you carefully go through the artists’s portfolio. Check out any brides who have used airbrush makeup in the past.Well, once you have answers to these questions, you’ll be well on your way to deciding whether or not you will be opting for airbrush bridal makeup for your special day. But whatever you choose, we know you’ll look simply radiant.
