The A Blossom Witnessed quest marks a pivotal moment in World of Warcraft Dragonflight’s storyline, bridging the Emerald Dream campaign with broader Dragon Isles epilogues. Players travel to witness Amirdrassil’s bloom on the physical world, speaking with key figures like Merithra and Tyrande. This guide provides a complete walkthrough, prerequisites, locations, and tips based on official quest data and player reports.
Quest Overview and Importance
Quest ID 77780, A Blossom Witnessed serves as the entry to the 10.2 epilogue, celebrating the new World Tree’s emergence from the Dream into the Dragon Isles. Its description states: “Amirdrassil has bloomed beyond the confines of the Dream. Let us venture to the Dragon Isles and see where this new World Tree has taken root.” Completion unlocks further stories like Fair Skies and Strong Winds, A Place Beneath the Boughs, and Siblings Until the End.
This short quest emphasizes narrative progression over combat, rewarding reputation and lore. It’s available post-Emerald Dream raid or patch content, fitting into Dragonflight’s patch 10.2.5 structure.
Prerequisites for Starting the Quest
Before the exclamation mark appears, ensure these steps:
- Complete the Guardians of the Dream campaign, starting with Call of the Dream from Merithra near the Ohn’ahran Plains Emerald Dream portal.
- Finish patch 10.2 main quests, including Amirdrassil raid on Normal or higher (LFR reported to work by some players).
- Progress through Misfit Dragons and other Emerald Dream side stories if flagged.
- Clear your quest log of conflicting 10.2 quests like Call of the Dream to avoid phasing issues.
Players report the quest auto-starts near the raid entrance after raid completion. If unavailable, relog, repair client, or leave raid groups.
