10 Not-So-Nice Things About Losing Your Virginity

By Aditya Vachaspati G B KAditya Vachaspati G B K  •

Sex for the first time sucks! Honestly. You might not admit it but you know that it’s right. It just sucks. Plain and simple. Neither of you know what you’re doing. It’s painful. Some people bleed while others don’t. And the worst part is that you develop an attachment to that person. So, you better do it with someone you care about. People will only tell you these things. They only say, don’t be disappointed. It’ll only get better. And that’s the truth. No matter how bad or good (which is never) things are the first time, it’ll get better. As Addison Montgomery Shepherd from Grey’s Anatomy says, “It was horrible. But then, the good stuff came. And then the really good stuff and then came the best of the lot.” That’s the truth about losing your virginity. The only good thing that comes from it is that you can tell your friends that you nailed someone last night. If you’re a guy, you’d say, “Dude! I nailed her last night” and you’ll get high fives and hugs. If you’re a girl you’ll say, “I finally did it last night” and your friends will say, “Oh.. we’re so happy for you. Tell us all about it.”

However, this is what happens when you have sex for the first time. So read on. You’ve got to (or will come to) know these things anyway. First time sex is:

 1. Embarrassing

No one tells you about how embarrassing it’s going to get when you see each other naked for the first time. You’ve probably promised each other that you won’t look but both of you look at the same time and that’s the only time your eyes meet. You’re going to be looking away or most likely closing your eyes throughout the next 10 minutes. That is, if it lasts 10 minutes.

2. Awkward

No one tells you how awkward it’s going to be. Neither of you is focusing on each other. The guy is in his own world and the girl is in her own world. You really don’t care about what the other person is going through.

3. Mysterious

There’s a lot of mystery. The guy doesn’t know what’s down there or where it is. He doesn’t know how to get the girl off. The girl is equally confused. Both of you don’t know how the other person is going to react. So, the mystery remains unexplored. But remember, this is your first time. So, it’s fine.

4. Quick

It’s going to be over before you know it. And it’s going to be nothing like you see in the films. You aren’t going to have an orgasm. If you do, thank your stars. You are a very lucky girl. The guy on the other hand is either going to come within the first minute or so. If it lasts longer, he’s going to get tired of trying. However, the undisputed fact is that it’s not going to be like a film. Both of you aren’t going to have an orgasm at the same time. You’ll probably end up masturbating anyway.

5. Disgusting

Sex is supposed to be beautiful. It’s supposed to be tender and romantic. And most times it is. It’s just great. But it’s not going to be a long, tender and romantic love making session the first time around. Some people find the experience disgusting.

6. Painful

It’s going to be painful for the both of you. Your first penetration breaks the hymen which forms the outer part of your vaginal area called the vulva. For the guy, the first penetration separates his foreskin from the penis. But only if he isn’t circumcised at birth. End result, it’s going to be painful for the both of you. Both of you might end up bleeding a little bit. But again, you might not.

7. Messy

First time sex gets messy. By messy, I mean, hot and sweaty. When bodily fluids are involved, things always get messy. When you’re done, you probably want to put your clothes back on and run like hell or you probably want to get into the shower. But neither of you is going to do it. Instead, you’re going to try and cuddle and cuddling gets messy when there’s sweat (and other stuff) involved.

8. Finding A Place

Now, the most important factor before you decide to have sex is finding the right place. First off, it’s your first time. You don’t know what to do. You’re nervous. The guy is even more nervous than you are. So, you don’t want to be groping at each other uncomfortably in the back seat of your dad’s car. Therefore, find a proper place. It’ll help a little bit.

9. Unplanned

Don’t make a plan. Don’t try to figure things out. Just go with the flow. First time sex is better when it’s unplanned. That way, you don’t have any expectations. So, you might end up being satisfied at the end of it.

10. Addictive

There’s no drug in the world that you’ll get so addicted to. That’s what sex does to you. It’s addictive. It’s a drug. It’s so darn addictive. The positions, the mysteries, the satisfaction of being with someone and finally, the orgasm. You’ll want to do it again and again and again. That’s the thing with sex. No matter how bad it is the first time, you’ll do it for a second time, then a third and so on.

Now that you know the secrets to first time sex, go ahead and get it over with. See each other the next day and talk and then, do it again. It’ll be a little better. And when you do it for a third time, you’ll kind of get the hang of it and you won’t be able to get enough of each other after that. You’ll start doing it everywhere and it’ll be the most exciting time of your life. True story!
